Assistant Professor of French at Saint Anselm College (One Year)

The Department of Modern Languages and Literatures invites applications for a full-time one-year term faculty position to begin in August 2026. The successful candidate will teach a variety of French language and culture courses at different levels and possibly courses in the First Year Program, a shared learning experience in the Liberal Arts. Native or near-native fluency in French and English is required. To apply, submit a letter of interest, curriculum vitae, one-page statement of teaching philosophy, evidence of research potential (a sample of scholarship, an article or conference paper) and academic transcripts to the attention of Dr. Lourdes Jimenez, Department Chair, Modern Languages and Literatures via the college website. Three letters of recommendation are required and should be submitted in PDF format via email to the department faculty assistant, Karen Harrington (kharrington@anselm.edu). Required Skills: A Ph.D. in French is preferred. ABD and MA candidates will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate scholarly research and a strong commitment to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level.

Required Experience: Teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred.
