Visiting Assistant Professor in French Literature and Language at Reed College

The Reed College Department of French announces a two-year visiting position in French Literature and Language beginning Fall 2026 at the Assistant Professor level.  We are seeking candidates with research specialization in Francophone literature, with an ability to teach broadly across Francophone literatures. The successful candidate will be expected to teach literature and language courses, and to advise senior theses. Candidates should have native or near-native fluency in French, teaching experience (ideally including French language instruction), and the Ph.D. in hand or near completion.  Above all, we seek candidates who have a strong commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level.  Reed College is a highly selective liberal arts institution with a distinguished record of educational accomplishment and a strong commitment to scholarship (http://web.reed.edu).
